Software developers are in high demand across the nation, attracting an average salary of $104,000. With the rise of the App Economy, developers pursue careers in every congressional district.

But as the tech industry continues to grow, there simply aren’t enough software developers to meet demand. Hundreds of thousands of openings remain unfilled and that number continues to rise.

Unfortunately, our schools don’t produce enough students with these skills. Few primary and secondary schools prepare students to qualify for computer science degrees, and more can be done to retrain our workforce in these specialized fields.

Join industry leaders for a conversation about how we can create the next generation of software developers in our home communities. ACT | The App Association will also share new research that shows which congressional districts have the highest demand (and salaries) for software developers, and where education needs are the greatest.
