ACT | The App Association has two events going on this Wednesday! We want to make sure that you have all the information on the way policies can affect small businesses, especially in the app economy. Two of the biggest areas of interest for our member companies are generative artificial intelligence (GAI) and its intersections with copyright and distribution through app stores and other publishers. Join us at our events!
On Wednesday, November 15, we are hosting two separate Hill briefings:
- Copyright’s Digital Dilemma: At 1:00 p.m., Priya Nair, IP counsel at the App Association & IP fellowship coordinator for the Innovators Network Foundation, will host a lunchtime panel discussion on copyright implications of GAI, including key industry voices like Morgan Reed, president at the App Association; Anthony Licon of App Association member company Epic-Reach; Kevin Madigan, VP and legal policy and copyright counsel at the Copyright Alliance; and Professor Sandra Aistars, clinical professor at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. Join us in Rayburn 2237! Register HERE.
- Getting the Download: At 2:00 p.m., Alex Cooke, the App Association’s senior director for global membership, will lead a panel discussion on app distribution and publishing on app stores at our event co-hosted with Developers Alliance, also featuring remarks from Congressman Jay Obernolte (R-CA-23) and a research presentation from DCI.
