ACT and CABHI jointly sponsoring the largest gathering of developers and innovators in North America

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – At Web Summit Vancouver this week May 11-14, the Association for Competitive Technology (ACT) and the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI, powered by Baycrest) will kick off a new partnership to support North American-based startups and small health technology companies to access necessary capital, drive forward innovation, and create jobs in AI and emerging tech.

“Canadian innovators are solving complex aging and brain health challenges at a time when novel solutions have never been more needed,” said James Mayer, COO at CABHI. “Canada’s dementia problem presents one of the biggest global pressures, and most lucrative investment opportunities, of our time. CABHI is proud to be removing barriers that stall innovation, supporting Canadian age tech companies in turning ideas into real-world impact and building a strong economy.”

“Startups and small tech companies are the engines that drive the global app economy” said Morgan Reed, president of the Association for Competitive Technology (ACT). “ACT is excited to formalize our long-standing relationship with CABHI and their community of Canadian developers and startups. Together innovative companies and technology are creating jobs, growing economies, and improving the everyday lives of consumers. ACT looks forward to continuing our mission to support startups and small tech companies across Canada and around the Globe.”
