ACT | The App Association’s members drive the innovation that powers our digital world. Each month, through our Member Monday series, we spotlight these trailblazing small businesses and their cutting-edge achievements.
This month, we highlighted the top tech policy fights across our key regions and what they mean for small developers. In the EU, debates over encryption are reshaping how secure services operate; in the UK, SEP reform will decide whether startups can use standards to innovate on fair, reasonable, and nondiscriminatory terms; and in the U.S., age verification and app store bills are testing the balance between privacy, competition, and safety. Across all three, our members are showing why rules must work for startups if we want innovation, security, and investment to improve.

Monday, November 24 – ASK DT
ASK DT, founded by Georgina Hodgkinson, builds AI tools designed for one of the most complex and highly regulated environments: the legal sector. The platform gives professionals secure, permissioned access to knowledge, personalised down to the individual. Every action is tracked for full transparency, making it easier to work confidently with sensitive information. The result is a system that helps legal teams spend less time searching for knowledge and more time applying it.
