ACT | The App Association’s members are at the forefront of innovation, leveraging technology to create meaningful solutions that drive positive change. Each week, we spotlight these trailblazing small businesses through our Member Monday series.
This spring, our Member Monday features highlighted how our global small tech members are not only building impactful products and services, but they’re also shaping key policy conversations, from platform fairness and green innovation to the future of mergers and acquisitions in the digital economy. Take a scroll down memory lane to learn more about our members.
March: Competition and Digital Markets
We highlighted members advocating for a smarter competition policy that puts small businesses first, pushing back on platform regulations that would raise barriers to entry, limit market access for small businesses, and remove the privacy and security functions that our members rely on. Whether it’s about preserving competition in curated online marketplaces (COMs) and encouraging transparent terms in the same, our members are working to level the playing field for small developers and startups.
April: SEPs and Green Tech
This month, we featured members developing sustainable tech solutions, from smart agriculture to energy-saving platforms. As these innovations increasingly rely on interoperable, standards-based technologies, our members are calling for fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory standard-essential patent (SEP) licensing practices that prevent abuse and keep the door open for small companies to build and scale.
May: Mergers and Acquisitions
In May, we featured members navigating today’s evolving M&A landscape, where policy decisions can shape whether small companies have the clarity and opportunity to grow, hire, and reach new markets. As consolidation accelerates, our members are highlighting the need for smart, balanced rules that protect innovation without closing doors to acquisition as a path to scale.
We’re proud to showcase this spring’s incredible group of Member Monday highlights. Their work reflects the vibrant, resilient spirit of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) driving progress at the intersection of technology, policy, and purpose.
These Member Monday highlights can also be caught on our social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, and Threads. Follow us to stay updated and celebrate the work our members are doing!
