Clinical evidence has demonstrated that the use of telehealth and remote monitoring of patient-generated health data improves care, reduces hospitalizations, helps avoid complications and improves satisfaction, particularly for the most chronically ill, and those in remote geographies. Yet the U.S. Congress and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) continues to struggle to adopt meaningful policies that will ensure these solutions are fully leveraged.
