For this edition of Member Mondays, we’re highlighting an App Association member that has created an innovative platform for learning apps.

Scene: A teacher is running behind on her lesson plan. She needs to come up with a quick and easy activity for her students that can reinforce a wide variety of classroom concepts in a fun and engaging way.

What if I told you that there was a platform that allowed teachers and parents to create apps tailored to their students and children? That these apps could be made in any language and designed for any device? That there was a resource of apps created by other teachers and parents you could source from? And this service was completely free?

This may sound too good to be true, but it’s not. This is exactly what App Association member Happi Papi has created.

Started by Patrick Larson and Jens Ode, Happi Papi has been a leader in education app development for the last six years. The founders have consistently set their sights on raising the bar in the learning apps market, which led them to try a novel approach to apps: give users the ability to create their own personalized educational apps. No coding required.

Launched in October 2016, Larson and Ode designed the Happi Papi platform with teachers and parents in mind. The app features app design templates to help users make crossword puzzles, flash cards, and word searches in a matter of minutes. Users can also use and build upon existing content within the platform to create apps specific to each student’s needs. Through Happi Papi, Larson and Ode hope to create a dynamic catalog of apps that makes the job of educating students easier, engaging, and fun.

Happi Papi has changed the game by harnessing the power of apps to create a free product that effectively and efficiently improves classroom learning. That is something we should all be Happi about.
