Microsoft to Ship Windows Vista On-time in Europe. SMEs can breathe a sigh of relief.

Brussels – The thousands of small and mid-size information technology firms throughout Europe and the United States welcome today’s confirmation that Microsoft will deliver Windows Vista on time worldwide, according to the Association for Competitive Technology (ACT), which represents 3000 information technology firms in Europe and the US.

ACT president Jonathan Zuck made the following statement in response to the news:

“For the thousands of small European and American firms that invested millions on new software and services for the Vista platform, this is much needed clarity.  Small ISVs in particular have been eager to offer software that takes advantage of the hundreds of new innovations that are integrated into Vista.  This announcement gives these companies the certainty they require to continue investing in Vista-based technologies for the European market.”
