The polls are soon to close! Today millions of Americans have gone to their local recreation centers, churches, and school gymnasiums to cast votes that determine the trajectory of our country’s political system – ah, democracy!
After many of us have done our civic duty, we’ll flip on the tube, follow on our smartphones, and sit in front of computer screens to check out the latest updates and predictions of the results. Thankfully, an ACT member has devised innovative election technology that will help you easily access all the latest developments.
In the past we’ve told you about InterKnowlogy’s incredible use of Microsoft Kinect technology to create the Touchless Operating Room, and you may have even seen their 3D anatomical imaging used on Grey’s Anatomy.
But tonight when you tune into CNN, you’ll see John King use their gesture-based technology on his Magic Wall – and he’s not the only one who gets to use their cool tech.
As part of InterKnowlogy’s partnership with CNN and Bing Pulse, the companion My CNN Magic Wall web app enables viewers to engage with the network’s coverage while exploring data and projections in real-time – all enhanced by 3D data visualizations and advanced touch functionality.
We’re also keeping an eye on the prognostications of Bing Elections today. Following its success predicting World Cup results earlier this summer, the predictor tool has provided data-generated projections that have identified shifts in voter support days in advance of public polling.
Tonight, the Bing site will be tracking these trends as well as providing early results and media coverage from a range of perspectives. The “My Ballot” tool lets users track candidates, and provides information on where and when to vote.
So make sure you vote today, and then get up-to-the-minute data through CNN’s Magic Wall and Bing Elections results site.
