ACT | The App Association Statement on State Visit to the United Kingdom and Signing of U.S.-UK Technology Prosperity Deal

WASHINGTON – Today’s Technology Prosperity Deal between the United States and United Kingdom, with investment commitments from private corporations of £31 billion to develop UK AI, has the potential to supercharge transatlantic innovation partnerships for startups and small tech companies.

We welcome the commitments from both sides of the Atlantic and encourage the United States and UK governments to extend the spirit of today’s agreement to existing policy. We need to find ways to reduce the regulatory burden on startups and small tech companies so they can spend their time on innovation not just compliance.’
