Washington, D.C. – The App Association has hired Jack Fleming, former Chief Communications Officer at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), as its Director of Global Communications.
Fleming brings extensive communications expertise and a deep understanding of key policy issues to the role. At the USPTO, Fleming was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic communications for the office, and served as a key advisor to the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO.

Jack’s policy expertise and high-level communications experience will be critical to spreading our message effectively on a global scale.”
Prior to his tenure at the USPTO, Fleming served in several capacities at The Education Trust, where he amplified and advanced education policy and practices designed to dismantle barriers in the American education system.
