(February 8, 2024)  ACT | The App Association, a global trade association fostering innovation in the app ecosystem, and Shtudy, the leading diversity hiring solution for tech companies and App Association member, proudly announce their strategic partnership aimed at enhancing diversity, innovation, and career growth in the tech industry.

According to BestColleges.com, Black and Latino/a workers are underrepresented in tech. Today, Black employees make up 13 percent of the workforce but only 4 percent of tech workers. And while Hispanic workers make up 17 percent of the workforce, they hold just 8 percent of STEM jobs.

The App Association and Shtudy collaboration will involve joint initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion, innovation, and educational outreach within the app ecosystem. Specifically, the partnership will focus on the following areas:

  • Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy: The App Association and Shtudy are committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the tech industry through joint campaigns, resources, and industry initiatives.
  • Innovation Acceleration: Shtudy’s network of talented professionals will be connected with the App Association’s global community to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurial endeavors.
  • Educational Outreach: The partnership will provide resources and tools to help tech founders, app developers, and managers navigate the complex landscape of rules, regulations, and best practices in the tech industry.
  • Legislative Regulations: The partnership will keep tech leaders and founders aware of current legislative regulations on sensitive topics such as artificial intelligence, data, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
  • Advancing Black and POC Tech Executives: The collaboration will make a deliberate effort to advance Black and POC tech executives, helping them climb the ranks and become future leaders.
