Communications Manager

Courtney plays a key role in media and communications strategy for ACT | The App Association. She is a top contributor to the organization’s press initiatives drafting blogs and releases, conducting research, and managing social media.

Courtney connects with tech journalists and industry observers focused on the explosive growth of the app economy. In an industry that is now expanding into mobile health, home automation, and wearables, she is a source for reporters looking to reach leading entrepreneurs and innovators. Courtney also co-authored our report, State of the App Economy 2014.

Graduating cum laude from Miami University of Ohio with B.A.s in journalism and strategic communication with a French minor, Courtney also served as student body vice president and moderated two of the university’s prestigious JANUS Forums.

Prior to joining The App Association, Courtney interned at Voice of America in the Current Affairs Division and WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally from the Midwest, Courtney now lives in Washington, D.C.
