Event Recap: The App Association Appreciates Federal Workers

On October 16, staff at ACT | The App Association showed our gratitude for federal workers and those who support them by hosting a happy hour in their honor at Hi-Lawn. Our goal was to provide food, drinks, and plenty of fun for colleagues on and off the Hill, giving them something to look forward to in an unstable time.

It’s important to us to show our appreciation for the hardworking staff who take our calls all year long and partner with us on issues of great importance for our member companies. Events like this let us deepen our ties on Capitol Hill, in the Executive Branch, and with our private sector partners, bringing staff together to enjoy great weather and good conversation.

We hosted about 60 staffers and friends at Hi-Lawn, from Senate and House offices as well as Executive Branch agencies. The weather held out on a lovely autumn afternoon, giving us all a much-needed break from the busyness of the world until the wind forced us indoors.

A big thank you to the staff at Hi-Lawn for helping us put on such a great event for our community! And as always thank you to our friends and neighbors in DC, for always drinking our drinks, eating our food, and taking our calls.
