According to CNetNews.com, “[a]cknowledging that caveat emptor goes only so far as a guideline for online sales, eBay has been putting new mechanisms in place to help fight fraud.”

In an unrelated story, CNetNews.com writes that “[r]etail giant Wal-Mart Stores is contracting with Microsoft and Novell–Microsoft’s preferred Linux partner–to build out the company’s Web operations, according to a Wal-Mart executive.”

ZDNet asks, “[w]ill [Apple’s] corporate miscues bruise its image?”   

In another Apple story, The Register reports that “Apple has been accused of applying double standards to trademark disputes by a UK security developer.”
