The New York Times has an interesting article on entrepreneurial culture in Europe, saying that “start-ups are no longer rare [in Europe]. Moreover, Europe’s new entrepreneurs are turning West to learn the start-up culture bred in Silicon Valley before coming back here to apply their learning.”

Reporting on Google’s recent announcement that a business-class version of its application suite Google Apps is now available, CNetNews.com warns that “[w]hile Google Apps has a lot of potential and may ultimately challenge Microsoft Office as a desktop suite, it is simply not there yet.”

Yahoo! News reports that “[t]he European Registry of Internet Domain Names (Eurid), manager of the ‘.eu’ top-level domain, is accepting public comments on a draft code of conduct for domain registrars.”

Networkworld writes that spam has reached an all-time high.  In fact, “[u]p to 90% of all e-mails will be spam by the end of this year, according to research released Wednesday.”

The Register reports that “[i]n a sudden about face, ICANN has concluded that it does indeed have authority over renegade domain pusher Registerfly,” threatening “to revoke Registerfly’s domain accreditation unless the company cleans up its act in the next 15 days.”
