Technology companies want to hire the next generation of software developers, but are struggling to find qualified candidates. With bytes replacing bricks in nearly every industry, people with these skills are in high demand at companies of all shapes and sizes.

Currently, there are roughly a quarter-million unfilled software developer jobs, and 91 percent of them are outside Silicon Valley.
